New Fall Nationals Tour will Absorb Southern Nationals Bonus Series for 2019 Racing Season

(November 20, 2018) Last Saturday’s Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV event that was rained out at Boyd’s Speedway ended a five year run. The Fall Nationals Series will run in place of the Bonus Series beginning in 2019.

Starting in August of 2019, the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will begin and run through the month of November. A 10-15 race schedule is currently being finalized and will be released at the PRI Trade Show in early December along with the Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals Series schedules. | full story

Gobbler/Joe Lee Johnson Memorial Rained Out This Weekend at Boyd's Speedway...

(November 15, 2018) Heavy rains have cancelled the annual 'Joe Lee Johnson Memorial / Gobbler' race scheduled for this Saturday, November 17 at Boyd's Speedway, which was scheduled to feature the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series and the Iron-Man Open Wheel Modifieds. This rain-out ends the 2018 Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series season. We congratulate David Payne, of Murphy, North Carolina, on the series title. We also want to thank Boyd's Speedway for allowing us the opportunity to host this event and we look forward to doing business with them again in 2019.

First-Career Southern Nationals Payday for Tyler Erb in Showdown at Senoia Raceway

Several Schedule Changes Announced for Southern Nationals Bonus Series for 2018

(January 2, 2018) Also announced, on the 2018 Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series schedule, there will be a weekend swap between Blue Ridge Motorsports Park and Senoia Raceway. The Showdown at Senoia which pays $10,000-to-win will now move to its new date of Saturday October 20th while the $4,000-to-win event at Blue Ridge (Ga.) Motorsports Park will move to Saturday October 27th.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series has also announced that Blue Ridge Motorsports Park has added a second date to the 2018 schedule for Saturday April 28th paying $4,000-to-win. | full story

Spring & Southern Nationals Series Release Details of New Safety Rules for 2018

 

(December 19, 2017) Officials with the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series, the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series and the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series have released details regarding the new safety rules, including left-rear rule for the upcoming season. Schaeffer’s Oil Spring and Southern Nationals Series Release 2018 Race Schedules

(December 8, 2017) The 2018 schedules for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series, the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series and the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series were revealed on Friday Morning during the 30th Annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in Indianapolis, Ind. Total purses, points funds and nightly bonuses are nearly $900,000 for the three tours making it the largest set of regional tours in the country.

On the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee R.V., which is entering its fifth full season of competition, features 15 scheduled dates from March until November with a couple of TBA dates. The series will co-sanction five events with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Series in 2018. New tracks on the tour include: Toccoa (Ga.) Raceway, Lake Cumberland (Ky.) Speedway and Volunteer (Tenn.) Speedway. The series schedule is highlighted by five-$10,000-to-win events.
