Spring
Nationals Stop at North Georgia Speedway Washed Out; 411 Still
on as Scheduled
(March
8, 2023) Projected heavy rainfall across northern Georgia
on Thursday leading into Friday has unfortunately washed out the
Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman
Farms Racing debut at North Georgia Speedway on March 10. The
‘Biddle Ridley Memorial’ was slated to shell out a
$7,553 payday on Friday evening and while a suitable rain date
is being explored, a reschedule date is not available at this
time. If the series is unable to visit the historic Chatsworth,
Georgia oval this year, promoter Ray Cook looks forward to working
with North Georgia Speedway next season.
While Friday’s stop for the Spring Nationals tour has been
rained-out, the $15,000 to win ‘Tennessean’ on Saturday
afternoon, March 11 at 411 Motor Speedway is still on as scheduled.
Other classes on the racing card include 604 Late Model ($1,500
to win), Sportsman ($1,000 to win), 602 Late Model ($800 to win),
Classic ($500 to win), FWD ($500 to win), and Crown Vic. The Schaeffer’s
Oil Spring Nationals Series has made two prior visits to the Seymour,
Tennessee bullring and Jimmy Owens took home the victory on each
occasion back in 2019 and 2021.
Adult grandstand admission at 411 on Saturday will be $25.00,
while adult pit admission for ‘The Tennessean’ will
be $40.00. Children ages 12 and under will be admitted anywhere
on the grounds on Saturday for only $5.00. The stands will open
at 11:00am with the driver’s meeting scheduled for 1:00pm.
The racing program will then follow with actual times being car
count dependent.
The track is also hosting a Test and Tune session on Friday,
March 10 with the pit gate opening at 12:00 noon and practice
stretching from 2:00pm-6:00pm. If you come in anytime before practice
ends at 6:00pm on Friday, you will be paying for both days. This
saves the track from having to clear the pit area early Saturday
morning and try to find everyone to get their armbands.
Anyone entering the facility after 6:00pm on Friday evening will
only be charged for Saturday. The pit gates will be open all night
long if you would like to come in late and get parked for Saturday.
Pit admission for adults for both days will be $60.00 (includes
practice), while pit admission for children ages 12 and under
both days (includes practice) will be $10.00.
411 Motor Speedway is located at 632 Maryville Highway in Seymour,
Tennessee. If you can’t make it to the track, we invite
you to watch all of the action LIVE on FloRacing at https://flosports.link/3YNyY0y.
