Over $115,000 Up for Grabs in Lucrative Easter Weekend for Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series

The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco season rolls on with a lucrative Easter weekend tripleheader from April 2-4 in the states of Tennessee and Virginia.  The tour is set to invade I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee on Thursday, Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia on Friday, and Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on Saturday.  In all, over $115,000 in purse money will be up for grabs for the Super Late Models in the trio of weekend races.

It all starts on Thursday, April 2 with a visit to I-75 Raceway for a $5,053 to win weekend opener.  Joining the Super Late Models will be the Schaeffer’s Oil by Mike Bruner Red Clay 602 Late Model Series ($2,000 to win), Open Wheel Modified ($800 to win), Sportsman ($700 to win), FWD ($450 to win), Crown Vic ($400 to win), and Thunder ($350 to win) divisions.  The pits and tier parking will open at 4:00pm and the grandstands will open an hour later at 5:00pm.  The drivers meeting is set for 6:30pm and hot laps will light up the racetrack at 7:00pm.

Grandstand ticket prices are $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids ages 6-11.  Tier parking ticket prices are $35.00 for adults and $15.00 for kids ages 6-11.  A pit pass will be $45.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids ages 6-11.  Children ages 5 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE.  I-75 Raceway is located at 1791 Highway 68 in Niota, Tennessee and more information on the venue can be found online at www.i-75racewaypark.com.

On Friday, April 3, the Spring Nationals will make a second-ever visit to the picturesque Wythe Raceway for a $10,053 to win battle.  Joining the Super Late Models at the 1/2-mile speedplant will be the 602 Modified, Super Street, Pro Mini, U-Car, K-Car, and Crown Vic classes.  The infield pit area will open at 3:00pm, while the grandstand gates will swing open at 5:00pm.  The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:30pm and hot laps will take to the track starting at 7:00pm.

Grandstand ticket prices are $25.00 for adults, $20.00 for both seniors and military, and $15.00 for kids ages 7-12.  A pit pass will be $45.00 for adults and $20.00 for youth.  Children ages 6 and under will be allowed onto the grounds for FREE.  Wythe Raceway is located at 164 Race Track Road in Rural Retreat, Virginia and more information on the facility can be located online by clicking on www.wytheraceway.com.

The triple shot will then conclude in a big way on Saturday, April 4 with the 6th Annual Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway, which will shell out a hefty $21,000 first place prize.  Joining the Super Late Models on the racing card at “The Taz” will be the Sportsman ($1,000 to win), Street Stock ($600 to win), and Classic Car ($600 to win) divisions.  The pit area will open up at 2:00pm, while the hillside grandstand will open at 4:00pm.  The drivers meeting will get underway at 6:00pm and hot laps will take to the high banks starting at 6:45pm.

Grandstand admission into this great event is $30.00, while children ages 9 and under will be admitted for FREE.  A pit pass will be $45.00 for adults and $35.00 for kids ages 12 and under.  Tazewell Speedway is located at 1400 Bacchus Road in Tazewell, Tennessee and additional information on the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial can be accessed by logging onto www.tazewellspeedway.net.
