Dates for Spring Nationals Shows at Sugar Creek and Dixie Announced
(May
2, 2025) The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals
Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco
was slated to sanction a pair of events in the Peach State on
May 2-3. However, shows at Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge,
Georgia on Friday and Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia on
Saturday were both postponed due to inclement weather and a wet
forecast.
The $7,553 to win program that was rained-out tonight at Sugar
Creek Raceway has been postponed to Friday evening, May 23. This
sets up a lucrative Memorial Day weekend tripleheader with North
Georgia Speedway on Saturday, May 24 and Duck River Raceway Park
in Wheel, Tennessee on Sunday, May 25. Since the make-up date
is before the point finale at Duck River, the $7,553 to win show
at Sugar Creek will count towards the final championship standings.
Dixie Speedway’s event - originally scheduled for this
Saturday night - has been postponed to Saturday, October 11. That
date on Dixie’s calendar was originally reserved for a $5,000
to win Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series contest, but the Spring
Nationals tour will now co-sanction a race with SAS that night
that will boast an increased winner’s purse. Full purse
details will be announced at a later date. The event will obviously
be a non-points race for the Spring Nationals tour, but will carry
full points for the Southern All Stars.
After two weekends of nothing but rain, the Schaeffer’s
Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing
and fueled by Sunoco rolls into the Commonwealth of Kentucky on
May 9-10. The inaugural visit by the tour to Rockcastle Speedway
in Mount Vernon, Kentucky next Friday will shell out a $7,553
top prize, while Saturday’s stop at Lake Cumberland Speedway
in Burnside, Kentucky will boast a $10,053 winner’s check.
Wil Herrington currently sits atop the Spring Nationals point
standings by a scant sixteen markers over Garrett Smith heading
into the Bluegrass State.
